Hello dear friends; thank you for your patience as we ran last October’s blog. I have been away. I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon! One thing I carried away from that trip is the “Aloha State of Mind”. The people I met there carry themselves with a calm; live in the moment attitude that serves them well. The saying “There is nothing to do and everything will get done!” is their motto and it works! With the holidays upon us try to adapt a relaxed state of mind.
Now onto a more serious subject; November is “Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month”. If diagnosed early the survival rate is quite high; nine out of ten women treated will live longer than five years. Unfortunately this cancer is known as a silent disease; as it produces no symptoms until the disease has spread outside of the ovaries; but there are warning signs. These signs may include; enlargement of the abdomen; diarrhea; or constipation (lasting more than 2 weeks straight), frequent urination, or in rare cases, vaginal bleeding. If these signs seem unusual to you ask your doctor about them; do not be put off. We women know our bodies’ belter than anyone else. Please be aware.
Finally Happy Thanksgiving to you from the staff at Complete Health Store! Enjoy your dinner! Relax and enjoy the holiday. Walk; do yoga; maintain your sanity and your weight through mild exercise and down time.
We’ll talk next month with Christmas cheer and idea!
Take good care
Barbara
