Ahh November; where has the year gone? Here we are at the beginning of another Holiday Season! Shopping; baking; families; so many fun exhausting times!
This is the time of year with shorter days; colder days when we snuggle in; eat comfort food and perhaps exercise less! Unfortunately this lovely state of being can also cause diabetes; weight gain; muscles loss and tension. Aren’t I the bearer of wonderful news! Actually I am because I have solutions!
There truly is nothing better that a walk on a fall day. Bundle up; take your favorite person or animal and go for it. Connecting with nature just 3 times a week; decreases blood pressure; regulates blood sugar; promotes healthy sleep and so much more.
Yoga practice just twice a week can help build muscle; reduce stress; and can be done indoors; even at home with the many DVD’S, APPS and TV shows available.
Light weight training will also work. Your activity does NOT have to be over the top; just consistent.
Teas are a great way to sooth the winter soul; build immunity; burn stored fat; and encourage relaxation. Try Green or Black Tea, Roobios; Oolong; Chai etc. There are so many teas and the staff at Complete Health Store can certainly guide you!
Remember to take your multi-vitamins; and immune builders such as Ashwaghanda; Ginger; Elderberry; and Echinacea to protect against colds and flu’s.
