Welcome to Spring! As you walk through our town and enjoy the flowers in the area are you aware that many of these beauties have important medicinal properties? Here at Complete Health Store we have “planted” a lovely display of flowering tonics! Come in and let your eyes wander through our garden! In the meantime I will walk you through our garden in this month’s blog!
The lovely white blossoms of the Echinacea plant act as an effective immune builder! Chamomile with its daisy-like blooms is an effective calming agent and its sister flowers Passionflower and Lavender do the same! The beautiful red Hibiscus helps bring high blood pressure under control. Elder flower also maintains a strong immune system and is tasty! Alfalfa helps increase the appetite and fights free radicals in our blood! Roses sit in their rosehips which are full of Vitamin “C”; so healthy! Melissa; also called Lemon Balm relieves stress and we can all use that at one time or another. Valerian with its “unusual” fragrance is very effective for those sleepless nights. St. John’s Wort has long been used as a natural anti-depressant and effective mood elevator. Marshmallow helps with gastrointestinal; bladder; and all things digestive. Eyebright strengthens the muscles behind theeyes and helps correct night blindness!
Red Clover fights infection, suppresses the appetite and fights hot flashes; it is also a very effective blood purifier! Finally the last flower in our display; but definitely not the last one in our store is Rosemary! This herb is used as a spice as well as regulating both high and low blood pressure; fighting off air borne bacteria and fungi; it also helps relieve headaches and improve concentration!
So please come wander through our lovely insightful store and let our staff help you to stop and smell the flowers and use them to improve your health!
Take Good Care,
Barbara
